Hello Visitors!

Ok... so I always post these blog entries on my Facebook and Twitter but I get visitors from states and countries I don't know people from.

To the visitors (not the scary, secret lizard kind) I'm interested in how you stumbled across my little blog. If you're a repeat offender what keeps you coming back? How are you connected to the wonderful world of roller derby, if at all?

Thank you for reading. I'm not trying to be nosy, I'm just intensely curious how people end up tripping across the blog.

I learned of your blog from Janice Douglass, who I think is your aunt. She posted it on Facebook and I have been with you from the beginning! I admire your determination!

Adelaide, Australia -
hiya, i can't quite remember how I stumbled across your blog probably by putting roller derby fresh meat in google. As a newbie myself, I've found it really great reading your posts with your trials of getting started. I've even posted a link in my blog - http://mirandariley.com (which may or may not have also caused a few hits)
Keep it up! miranda xx

Wollongong/Sydney Australia-

I found you through a link of a link of a link. I think. :)

We have a Fresh Meat Intake coming up in 2 weeks and I REALLY want to try out. I just don't know if I can afford the initial outlay that soon, and if I can, if I'll make an ass of myself not having a chance to practice first. I'm trying anything and EVERYTHING on derby and Fresh Meat before it comes up. I'm loving your blog so far!

Welcome to the wonderful world of roller derby! Don't worry about making an ass of yourself - we all do, and I felt the same way when I started. Skate as much as you can and find derby girls in your area who are willing to show you the basics before your join date! :D

I did it! We had our first tryout last week and I actually did pretty well! I think it helps that I have a head start on my fitness being that I work at a gym.

It's not near as scary, intimidating or hard as I thought. I just need practice! Knowing what to expect from your blog and YouTube has been a major advantage as well!

Thanks!
